Excellent Thriller by #HarlanCoben, one of several adaptations from his brilliant novels. Even though, like many British television series, the seasons are more succinct, usually anywhere from 2 to 6 episodes in length, the #Safe tv series is full of 8 highly bingeable episodes (#BingeableTV). And although I thoroughly enjoy British television series (BritishTVSeries), I am uncertain as to whether or not the producers are intelligent for wrapping up a series in a single season, without the expectation of a second season, or if the writers are incompetent. This series had terrific acting, was thrilling and suspenseful, and the story, sub-stories and plot are all resolved at the end of the series. If I were a producer (#IfIWasA), I would insist that the writing team keep the plot lines seemingly intertwined through at least the first half of the season which would allow for a second season. I guess my question is, what does a television production company, such as the #BBC and #SkyOne write themselves into a corner? What would a series have to lose if the viewers and fans demanded a second season? After the #StoryArc is completed, where would a series go from here? Either way, without question, worth a watch.
lol they lost me the minute the aliens chose for their ambassador a random farmer from Missouri just cause he was able to negotiate about corn. Could have been interesting too bad the writer had such a boner for the whole underdog thing which doesn't work here.
I'm was with Asia on the Vixen situation like I know there's been this thing where nowadays we're like drop toxic friends and all that which in most cases it's for real but this isn't the case. We're not asking for Ru to baby her or to try and talk to her because sometimes you don't have to say shit, just stand there and be like "I'm here for you, you might not want to listen now but I'm here for you". Yes you're allowed to be mad and frustrated at said person but that doesn't mean ignoring someone when they're obviously screaming for help but you couldn't be bothered anymore. I understand Ru's from a tough love kind of world and yes people shouldn't be bothered but you don't abandon people because you are a little inconvenienced, especial in a society that's built upon a sisterhood like that. What type of message does that send? Ru can be wise but his words aren't god and he can be wrong and in this instance he is.
